We have partnered with Fidelity International to offer an online, intensive and immersive summer programme for you undergraduate black students graduating in 2024.

The programme is designed to support you in applying for paid internships with Fidelity International, and will give you an insight into the skills involved alongside the career options available.

About the programme

The Entrepreneurs in Action Summer Talent Academy – sponsored by Fidelity International - is an opportunity for black students interested in a career in investment management industry.

This online programme provides participants with an insight into what it is really like to work for an international asset management company and the opportunity to develop skills which are not taught in the classroom or lecture theatre.

You will be taking part in an intense, immersive five programme which will help build your knowledge, skills and confidence to better prepare for applying for a range of paid internships with Fidelity International.

It will also give you a direct insight into the inclusive working culture at Fidelity International, notably through speaking with and hearing from some of the company’s leaders and recent graduates

You will also increase your knowledge and understanding of investment management asset classes by taking part in a practical, relevant project that gives you the chance to meet and network with like-minded students from different universities.

The programme takes place online using Zoom over five days from 15th - 19th August. We are looking for motivated students graduating in 2024, interested in learning more about a career in asset management.

Please note, this programme is only available to students who have the right to work in the UK.

Which parts of the business will I learn about?

The Summer Talent Academy is a unique pathway to learning more about paid 2023 internship opportunities within areas of Fidelity International like:

Equity research
Fixed income
Multi assets
Sales and marketing
Technology
Business Management

During the week you will receive masterclasses from members of the Fidelity investment and early careers teams. There will also be an opportunity to meet and speak with senior staff and learn from experiences in the industry.

The support you receive is focused on improving your knowledge of Fidelity International and the investment management industry, as well as building your confidence, to assist you in making the best possible internship application.

HOW TO APPLY?

What is the application process?

You will be required to take an online assessment set by Fidelity International.

The deadline to complete the test is 8th August at 11.59 GMT.

Applicants will be notified of whether they have passed the test or not by email.

We will notify all applicants whether they have been invited to attend the programme by Wednesday 10th August.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will the application process for the 2023 summer internship take place?

Fidelity’s application process will open in early September 2022 and the assessment process will take place in Oct/Nov 2022.

Does the completion of the Fidelity online assessment process mean that I am pre-screened for the internship application process?

Successful participants who take part in the summer talent academy will have an accelerated application process for 2023 summer internship roles.

Your application will be progressed straight to the interview stage.

When does the 2023 internship start ?

The 2023 summer internship programme will start on the 19^th June 2023 (TBC)

How long is internship for?

The Fidelity Summer Internship programmes are 10 weeks in duration.

Is the 2023 internship paid?

Yes it is.

When will applicants be notified of whether they have been successful?

Applicants will be notified if they have been accepted onto the summer talent academy between the 8^th and 12^th of August, with successful applicants joining the programme from the 15^th - 19^th August 2022.
