Investment Management Summer Mentoring Program
sponsored by Morgan Stanley
We have partnered with Morgan Stanley to develop an online mentoring program for UK undergraduate
and postgraduate Black students to support them in achieving their career goals
within the investment management industry.
About the program
The Entrepreneurs in Action Investment Management Mentoring Program – sponsored by Morgan Stanley – is an opportunity for UK Black students interested in a career in investment management.
This online program provides participants with an insight into what it is really like to work for a global financial services firm and the opportunity to develop skills which are not taught in the classroom or lecture theatre.
Candidates will participate in an immersive Classroom to Boardroom program which will help them build a network with like-minded fellow students from different universities.
The program is full time, hosted virtually from Friday 11th July and Monday 14th - Thursday 17th July 2025. Attendance is required each day. There are 20 places available.

Phase 1: Now

Phase 2: Now - Sun 8th June
Submit your CV and cover letter and complete the online assessments using the links provided after registering for the program. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to undertake a HireVue video interview.
Phase 3: Fri 11th July and Mon 14th July - Thu 17th July
Five day intensive online program followed by the opportunity to showcase your talents to Morgan Stanley executives.

Following the initial training, the program also provides an opportunity for candidates to engage with a Morgan Stanley mentor from the investment management division. Mentors can support participants with further professional development and applications they may wish to make to Morgan Stanley's investment management division..
Qualifications / Skills / Requirements
We are looking for motivated Black British students and Black international students studying in the UK, in their penultimate or final year of university, as well as recent Black graduates,interested in learning more about a career in investment management. (Graduate between July 2024 and July 2027).
In your application do share what specifically led you to apply for this program. This can include giving examples of relevant knowledge, skills and experience gained academically, through internships, or other parts of your professional or personal life.
Also tell us about areas where you think the program will enable you to grow and develop professionally and personally.
Application process
Check you meet the eligibility criteria. Submit your application to take part in the program using either of the green buttons towards the top and bottom of this site,
You will also be given instructions about when, where, and how to submit your CV and cover letter.
Your CV must clearly state your graduation date. Your cover letter should include details about why you are interested in joining this mentoring program.
You will then be provided with details on how to complete the required online Morgan Stanley assessments.
The Morgan Stanley assessments are a combination of numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning, logical reasoning tests, and accuracy. You will be provided with practise tests to familiarise yourself with the format and content of these before you start the real ones. Practise makes perfect!
On completion of these online assessments you will be automatically provided with a pdf feedback report.
Complete the assessments before the deadline 23.59 BST on Sunday 8th June. Applying early will give you the necessary time to complete all the stages of the application process.
You will notified by email as to whether or not you have one of the 20 places on the program on Monday 30th June 2025.
Training program in detail
Applicants will be supported throughout the process. The Entrepreneurs in Action coaching team will be on hand during phases one to three, while Morgan Stanley staff will support the assessment and application process. You are encouraged to also utilise support from your university's careers team.
The support you receive is focused on improving your knowledge of Morgan Stanley and the investment management industry, as well as building your confidence, to assist you in making the best possible application.
Applicants that do not progress onto phase three and wish to pursue roles with Morgan Stanley Investment Management, are welcome to seek guidance from EiA.
Successful applicants from phase three will be matched with a mentor from Morgan Stanley who will provide one-to-one support with applications for opportunities with Morgan Stanley's Investment Management Division.
Phase three participants will continue to receive support from their Morgan Stanley mentor whether or not they are offered an internship or a permanent role. This support will help you prepare for a role in investment management or the financial services industry.

Morgan Stanley student and graduate opportunities
The EiA program will support candidates to apply to Morgan Stanley Investment Management programs.
There are three key programs in Investment Management.
1. Spring Insight Program
One week program during Spring 2026.
Available to students who are in their first year of a 3 year degree or their second year of a 4 year degree, with an expected graduation date by July 2028
2. Summer Analyst Program
10 weeks program from June-August 2026.
Available to students who are in their penultimate year of study, with an expected graduation date by July 2027.
3. Off-cycle Internship Program
Six to twelve month program with flexible start dates from Jan 2027, subject to the team requirement.
Available to students who graduated from university by 2027 and recent graduates.
Recruitment takes place throughout the year.

FAQs:
I am studying in the UK as an international student. Can I apply if I require work authorisation?
Morgan Stanley believes that diversity and inclusiveness make for a better workforce. Their employees come from around the globe. Should you require work authorisation your application will still be considered. Morgan Stanley is able to apply for work permits on behalf of prospective new hires and any job offer is conditional upon successful completion of that application.
Can I take part in the Insight Week part of the program if I am only available for part of the time?
No, as the Insight Week part of the program is full time. You can still access support from EiA in applying for roles with Morgan Stanley Investment Management.
Do I need to take the Morgan Stanley assessments if I have taken them before?
Tell us when this was so it can be checked as to whether you need to do this again or not.
How can I partake in the internship recruiting process if I am studying abroad?
If you are studying abroad and the recruiting process for the division that you are interested in will be taking place while you are away, if you are invited to the assessment phase with Entrepreneurs in Action please ensure that you:
Let us know that you will be abroad and during what periods of the academic calendar year.
If you are studying abroad during the fall semester, then you will be able to participate in the regular internship recruiting process in the spring.
